Asset Management Strategies in Baltimore, DC, & Surrounding Areas

After nearly 40 years of experience in business, the last 23 of which have been in the financial services industry, we have come to believe that every industry has people and companies that can greatly improve our lives and the way things get done.  Typically, no single firm, ours included, has a monopoly on their niche, talent, product, service or strategies used.  Our experience has shown us that quality companies with the right attitude, process and access to a variety of capabilities required to solve the problems at hand can make a difference.

The statistics have shown a high degree of dissatisfaction with current asset management advisors so we expect prospective clients to bring a healthy dose of skepticism to the table initially. Knowing that, our goal is to make a positive difference for the people, families and businesses we serve.

Today’s landscape of investment and wealth management products — corporate benefits, business and personal planning strategies, risk management and legal issues — makes putting the pieces together in a way that provides a successful outcome difficult to say the least. Add to that task , the flood of information gushing out from the Internet, television and talking heads selling books, seminars and tapes, as well as the continued global economic uncertainty, sovereign debt issues - and this list goes on….  The task of developing a coordinated asset management plan that will result in a successful outcome can be overwhelming.

At Pinson Wealth Management, while we don’t claim to have all of the answers, we do believe we can provide a process to assess your current positions against your desired outcomes in a way that makes sense. Assuming we agree that working together is going to be a comfortable, mutually rewarding, long-term relationship, we can begin to develop approaches that coordinate and integrate current assets and set in motion strategies and a course of action for their implementation. We fully expect and welcome the opportunity to work with your legal and accounting advisors to bring them into the fold on your behalf.

Howard Pinson is able to provide a comprehensive, integrated and coordinated approach to the many financial concerns of businesses, individuals and foundations primarily throughout the Baltimore-Washington corridor. We offer services including tax management, retirement planning, investments, and more. Taking an active, partnership approach, Pinson Wealth Management provides an in-depth assessment to clearly identify goals and tailor your strategies to meet these goals over time.

If you would like to see how we might work together for asset management or any other financial service, please contact us.

If a company is a two-owner business or its success relies on a few key players, key-person life or disability insurance could possibly offset the risk that the premature disability or death of a major contributor could ruin its future prospects.

Preparing to Turn the Corner

What happens to a multiple-owner business when one of them chooses to retire or must leave suddenly for some other reason? Death, disability, divorce, & bankruptcy are just a few of the events that can affect one owner and threaten the future of the business. This article discusses the reasons why it may make sense for a small business to have a buy-sell agreement in place.

Tax-Efficient Investments for the Tax-Averse

Raising taxes is one of many ideas that have been proposed to help reduce mounting federal budget deficits. Readers who are concerned about the prospect of higher taxes in the future may want to consider the tax advantages associated with municipal bonds and tax-exempt mutual funds.

Keeping Pace with Social Security

In 2012, Social Security beneficiaries will receive a 3.6% cost of living increase for the first time in three years. But a recent study suggests that benefits are lagging far behind real expenses.
